This is hands down one of my favourite Aussie sayings! A lot of foreigners struggle with this one because we chuck it onto the end of words to add extra emphasis—but once you get the hang of it, you’ll sound Aussie as!
If you can master this slang, it’ll level up your Aussie English big time. So, let’s jump into it because this lesson is going to be good as!

What is 〇〇 as?
In Aussie English, "〇〇 as" (where "〇〇" represents a word) is a super laid-back way of adding emphasis.
What does it mean?
It’s used to make something sound even bigger or better—it’s like saying "really" or "so" in other English dialects, but way more Aussie.
Who is it used by?
Whether you are young or old, everyone uses it. You'll hear it in all kinds of settings, from mates having a laugh to relaxed chats at the pub. It’s informal and relaxed, so it’s mostly used in casual conversations between mates and family.
Common uses:
Good as – Means really good.
"That party was good as!"
Tired as – Means really tired.
"I’m tired as after that workout!"
Fast as – Means really fast.

Important Notes:
Using "〇〇 as" is a super casual and fun way to add emphasis to pretty much anything in Aussie English! Just throw “as” at the end of any adjective, and you’re good to go!
