What is Arvo?​
"Arvo" is just a shortened way of saying "afternoon." The word afternoon literally means after noon (aka after lunchtime). 

  • Aussies love to shorten words, you'll understand more about this as we continue to learn together!

What does it mean?
It means exactly the same thing as afternoon and you can use it the same way. It refers to any time from 12 PM to around 6 PM.

Who is it used by? 
Everyone. Kids, adults, grandparents—doesn’t matter who you are, Aussies of all ages say "arvo."
