What is "bogan"?
A bogan is a slang term used in Australia to describe someone perceived as uncultured, unsophisticated, uncouth or lacking in social graces. Think mullets, thongs (on your feet), loud cars, cigarettes and beers — but remember, being a bogan isn’t always negative. These days, it can be used playfully or even with pride!
